The week-long course, held at the Kamuzu Institute for Sports from 21–27 September 2026, has come to a successful close, marking another important milestone in strengthening technical capacity and developing wrestling in Malawi.
Speaking on behalf of the Malawi Wrestling Association, Mrs. Mary Kalirani, the President of Wrestling Association highlighted the importance of investing in coach development and strengthening the technical foundation of wrestling in Malawi.
MOC Secretary General, Mr. Henry Sakala, also commended the participants for their commitment throughout the course and emphasised the important role coaches play in identifying, nurturing and developing athletes.
Course facilitators Mr. Vincent Aka and Mr. Charles Villet reflected on the training experience and encouraged the coaches to put the knowledge and skills gained into practice as they continue supporting the growth of wrestling.
