The Malawi Olympic Committee and the Judo Association of Malawi are currently participating in the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) Partnership Forumin Norway.
Representing Malawi at the forum are Mr. Misheck Jonathan, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the Malawi Olympic Committee, and Mr. Chikumbutso Kasomba, Treasurer General of the Judo Association of Malawi.
The two delegates are presenting the Malawi-NIF Partnership Progress Report as the partnership approaches its conclusion in 2027.
The NIF partnership has been immensely beneficial to sports development in Malawi. Through this collaboration, most National Sports Federations have benefited from:
– Development of strong governance tools and systems
– Athlete development programs
– Inclusive sports programs including the Refugees Sports Program
– Capacity building for sports administrators and coaches
