We are proud to share that Malawi CGA Intern Bernard Mponda is among the selected participants for the eqUIP Internship Team 21 Orientation, which officially starts today in Mauritius.
The eqUIP Orientation week will include professional skills workshops, team building and cultural exchange activities.
The Program is funded by Commonwealth Sport and supported by ALDI, with support from the Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs).
The aim of the Program is to offer Commonwealth youth an educational and skills-development work experience that empowers them as young leaders to become self-reliant and support CGA capacity building. And it’s Objectives:is
1. To empower young leaders to make positive change in sport and in their communities.
2. To provide skills development and employment opportunity for youth.
3. To build capacity of Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) across Africa, Europe, Asia, Americas, Caribbean and Oceania.
4. To promote youth leadership, gender equality, inclusion and community outreach through sport.
This year’s interns will be on board for 14months to support CGAs in preparation for the Malta 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games.
