DEBUT PERFORMANCE:
I started athletics in July 2018. Previously a footballer so people encouraged me to join athletics as they saw my sprinting in football. I was a left winger. During my first run, I beat all the well experienced athletes in both 200m and 100m. So far I have raced 2 national track and filed, two Blantyre rely races, one university completion with MUST, and three international games (The Gaborone international meet in Botswana, all African games and world Athletics champion)
MEDALS:
I have 10 medals now (9 gold medals and one Silver medal for the mixed medley relay races. I have never been beaten in any individual game to national level. In summary, 2 gold medals, 5 gold medals for national track and filed 3 gold medals for Blantyre national relays. One medal for MUST competition … One gold for long jump got last year during truck and filed. I am still preparing because my lecture, Denis Phiri sends some training programs for me and Mr. Khomalo is now playing the role of supervising my training sessions.
SCHOLARSHIP:
I am not on scholarship. I guess it’s because I have just joined other athletes last year but looking forward to grabbing one.
